Liverpool is still interested in signing Alexander Isaac of Newcastle, but have seen the £120 million offer rejected by the Magpie.
Newcastle One Taway Star Alexander Isaac is set to return to the club’s training grounds in a Liverpool bid to sign the Swedish striker, the report claims.
Isak has trained alone at the Old Club Real Sociedad training facility after informing Newcastle that he would like to consider his options this summer.
The 25-year-old has not joined Newcastle on his Asian preseason tour amid uncertainty about his future.
Liverpool has already been denied a £120 million bid, and Newcastle treasures the player at nearly £150 million and will not sell him given that he has three years left on his contract at St James Park.
According to Athletic, Isaac is currently scheduled to return to the UK after a brief training session at Zvieta Base in Sociedad.

He has not linked to his Newcastle teammates and the rest of Howe and CO. They prepare for a friendly clash with Tottenham on Sunday before two more friendly matches against Espanyol and Atletico Madrid.
The report claims that Liverpool is not planning to file ISAK’s second offer after their initial “Take It or Leave It” bid, but is interested in the players.
The Reds have already spent nearly £300 million on many well-known signatures, including £116.5 million at Florian Worts.
Adding Isak to your team forces them to destroy another forwarding record, but once things stand, the movement appears to be difficult.
Liverpool managed to balance the book by selling Trent Alexander Arnold to Real Madrid for £10 million and Louis Diaz to Bayern for £63 million.
Newcastle boss Howe said he was in the darkness over Isaac’s future, but hoped that the club could still stick to their amulets.
“I don’t really know what’s going to happen next, but from our perspective, I support Alex in all respects. My hope is that he’s wearing a Newcastle shirt again,” he said.
