Newcastle and Manchester United are both eager to land RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesco, but Magpies are now looking at PSG’s Goncaro Ramos as a positive target
Newcastle is monitoring PSG’s Goncaro Ramos as he weighs potential striker options, which also involves Manchester United target Benjamin Sesco.
The RB Leipzig frontman appeared this week as a player selected by the Newcastle and the Red Devils. The former is considered by the Slovenians as an alternative to Alexander Isaac.
Newcastle has denied Sesko’s opening offer and discusses the possibility of pursuing Ramos on PSG. Magpies considered Portuguese an option before signing ISAK three years ago.
Ramos was later in Benfica, but later joined the French champion. He is by no means a regular starter in Paris, and the striker, who is only 24 years old, is considered a target for St. James Park after scoring 33 goals from 86 games for the Parc des Princes.
Newcastle’s preferred target is Sesko, but Daily Mail reports that they look elsewhere as negotiations head south. Eddie Howe saw the £69.8 million bid, including the rejection of the add-on. While the people of Manchester have not made the offer, debate continues over the structure of the deal.

Sesco is open to both projects at their respective Premier League clubs, but it’s Newcastle that can offer Champions League football next season. The Slovenian did not lose his preseason friendly loss to Atalanta on Saturday as his departure was expected. He reportedly told his teammates that he was leaving, according to German sky.
Marcel Schaefer, sports managing director at RB Leipzig, confirmed that stakeholders have expressed their desire to bring players there. He said: “We won’t go into detail about it, but when some clubs say they’ve shown strong interest and approached it, it’s clear what happened.”
United have already added Brian Mbeumo and Matthew Cunha this summer, but I want the number 9. It is understood that Leipzig is interested in United’s Rasmus Hozilund and is considering the potential loan. The German club had proposed lending Hozilund as part of a deal to take Sesco to Manchester.
Newcastle is also interested in Brentford’s Joan Wissa. Brentford’s Yoan Wissa was not part of Brentford’s team that was friendly with QPR on Saturday.
