Liverpool conducted a transfer investigation over Alexander Isaac, but despite record bids, they have many alternative targets if Newcastle United don’t want to do business this summer
Liverpool already has six targets in mind when Newcastle is firm in its attitude of not selling Alexander Isaac. The Reds made an approach to Swedish International on Tuesday, notifying Magpies that are willing to pay record transfer fees.
The £120 million PR appears to have done little to shake up Newcastle, but there are no plans to sell the striker after scoring 23 goals in the Premier League last season. Despite Liverpool’s approach being seen as an attempt to make Isaac “unstable”, Eddie Howe’s sidestance remains unchanged.
But so far there have been no bids from Anfield, and the Arne Slot team is prepared for the possibility that they will need to see elsewhere. One such street is in the direction of the target in Newcastle.
Liverpool aims to have Hugo Ekichike’s interest in the forward direction and can bid if they give up on Isaac. Newcastle wanted to sign forward to France’s Eintrohad Frankfurt to play alongside the star striker, but it is said that a £70 million bid was rejected.
However, Liverpool has asked about many options. The Merseyside Club has also reported an email asking about Olly Watkins and Joane Wissa of Aston Villa and Brentford, and even discussing Napoli with Victor Osimhen in a discussion with Darwin Nunes.

The club is also aware of the potential availability of Rodrigo from Real Madrid. The Brazilian forward has struggled to make an impact under new boss Xabi Alonso so far, and is said to be allowed to leave if he wanted this summer.
Most surprising, the name Marcus Rashford was also raised through conversation. The Manchester United forward is scheduled to be on sale this summer, but there is little chance that he will switch to his club rival beyond what is floating around.
Rashford is currently training away from United’s first team, who spent the second half of last season with Aston Villa on loan. England International is not in Reuben Amorim’s plan, but has yet to win a transfer as the Red Devils aim to bring £40 million to the forwards.
Liverpool have already made important signatures this summer with Florian Wurtz, Milos Kerkez and Jeremy Fripon. However, the Reds still have enough business to take on the expected departure.
It appears that current forward Darwin Nunes is leaving, but Lewis Diaz still managed to leave despite claiming he was not for sale. Liverpool has rejected a £58.6 million bid from Bayern Munich, but Diaz, 28, is understood to be interested in the move.
The club cherishes him for over £86 million (100 million euros), but refuses to put a price on him considering their position.
