Arsenal defeated Newcastle 3-2 in a preseason clash in Singapore on Sunday afternoon.
Arsenal fans have followed a spectacular pre-season release, comparing Wonder Kid Max Dowman to Lionel Messi. The youngster started on the gunners’ bench in a friendly preseason clash with Premier League rival Newcastle United.
And on both sides, 2-2, with 30 minutes remaining, 15-year-olds were introduced as a second-half replacement. Dowman has produced several heroes to help the North London side win.
He showed sensational skills on the right flank, and on one particular solo run was fouled by Newcastle midfielder Jolington due to Arsenal’s slow penalty. Martin Odegaard ultimately scored.
And when he went on social media after the game, Arsenal fans praised Douman and his performance, comparing him to Argentine superstar Lionel Messi. One fan said: “Max Dowman. The future of English football. You don’t come across this often. Generation.”
Added more: “Max Douman could be one of Arsenal’s greatest academy products of all time. At 15, not many have shown this type of talent and determination in men’s football against the opposition of the Premier League. The future is bright.”

“I don’t think people understand how good Max Dowman is and what he’ll be. At 15, he looked like the best player on the field,” another fan replied. “This is a talent on the Raminyarmal level. Arteta and Arsenal can’t keep him from the side forever. He’s decisive.”
“Lionel Messi, Max Dowman are here now, so I hope you enjoyed your time as the best football ever,” another Arsenal supporter said.

The 15-year-old Dowman hopes that his positive outing against Newcastle is enough to force him into the idea of Mikel Arteta’s new season. The youngster has yet to make the first team’s competitive debut for the club, but despite his age, he is already a regular at Arsenal, who is under the 18th generation.
Dauman, the England Under 17 International, made his Premier League 2 debut in the previous quarter. Speaking about Douman’s latest appearance, boss Mikel Arteta said: “Yeah, that’s special.
“Obviously, what he did today with this team at the time he was on the pitch is certainly not common to witness at a 15-year-old. We’re very happy to have him.
“I think it’s very useful again as he has a real opportunity and a real presence when he plays for the first time, as he put him in this position early in his journey.”
