Alexander Isaac expresses his desire to explore options that are far from Newcastle, with Alan Shearer admitting that he has a likely exit — but insisting that the club will move on
Newcastle legend Alan Shearer admits that “Alexander Isaac will leave,” but insisted that “individuals are bigger than clubs.”
The Swedish, who has been in St James Park for three years, told Magpies he wanted to explore options related to travelling from the club. ISAK has not yet signed a new and improved transaction, but it has been running for three years under its current agreement.
Newcastle claims that Isak is not for sale while he cherishes him well above £100 million. The original Sociedad star has been excellent since moving to the UK and marked himself as one of the European elite No. 9. Newcastle is not one of the elite European sides, but returned to the Champions League and won the trophy.
Shearer fears that Isaac is more likely to leave than he will stay, but he hopes that Eddie Howe can convince his 25-year-old to commit to the Newcastle project.
Liverpool has emerged as the most likely destination for strikers, such as Arsenal and Chelsea, who are pursuing other targets. Newcastle claimed that Isaac’s preseason absence was related to injuries, and Shearer laughed, but he insisted that the club survived and moved on.

He told Betfair:
“Eddie Howe has to use all his persuasive powers to do what he can and try to stay at least a year or more. If that doesn’t happen, that’s what it is. You have to get the best deal for the football club.
“Isaac was great for Newcastle and helped him achieve his dream of winning the trophy. If he can’t convince him to stay in Newcastle, they have to get the best deal possible.
Newcastle has been able to hold a major star since Saudi owners took over. However, Isaac’s chances of departure, which scored 27 times in the first half, will be a blow to the club. They reportedly saw Benjamin Sesco as a possible replacement for the Swedes.
