Viktor Gyokeres are trapped in a summer trip to Arsenal, but Rio Ferdinand has expressed concern about the premier league sports Lisbon star
Rio Ferdinand is not convinced that Arsenal-bound Victor Gyoker will have a chance to enjoy himself in Portugal once he completes his transition to the Premier League.
The former Manchester United star has expressed concern about the Red Devils chasing the Swedish star despite his goal record. Gyokeres has excelled in Sports Lisbon in recent years, scoring just 100 goals in the past two years.
But like strikers who are not active in one of Europe’s top five leagues, some people questioned whether Gyoker is prolific in the UK.
The Swedish striker is scheduled to complete his travels from sports to Arsenal this weekend. It is understood that the two clubs have finally agreed to a £63.5 million deal after the move was initially postponed due to negotiations regarding add-on payments.
Ferdinand claims he has closely observed Gyoker on several occasions, believing that he has gained the possibility of not walking his path in England, and that if his physicality is ineffective, he may struggle.

He stated on his podcast: “I don’t think he’s a guy. I’ve seen him really, really, really, really close three times, and then “He’s not got that opportunity at Prem.”
Gyokeres has proven to be one of Europe’s sharpest strikers, scoring 54 goals in 54 matches in 52 games last season, winning another league title. That haul included a Champions League hat-trick against Manchester City.
Adding a NO 9 was a priority for Arsenal this summer, and North Londoners turned their attention to Gjoker after Benjamin Sesco’s wage demand turned to be a point of negotiating obsession.
The 27-year-old is granted travel permission, allowing the former Coventry City frontman to complete his medical care before signing a five-year contract. Once the deal is made, gyoker will join Singapore’s Arsenal team in the first round of the Asia preseason tour.
