Coach Thomas Frank was encouraged to respond to the news and said, “Personally, I’d have wanted to work with this incredible person and player.
“He’s a true Spurs legend in all respects and one of the best players to play in the Premier League. Finding the perfect timing is never easy, and once I come in from the side it’s a bit easier to finish high.”

Tottenham is preparing to have a friendship with Newcastle United in Seoul on Sunday.
