Emery prepares to sell Watkins
Unai Emery manages Jackson at Villarreal and is ready to sell Watkins, which Manchester United and Newcastle United are wanted.
“Emery helped develop Jackson’s career at Villa Reale nine months before Chelsea successfully bid for £32 million, before heading to the villa.
“Now Emery is ready to test Chelsea’s resolve over Senegal International, which is on Manchester United and Newcastle wanted lists.
“Chelsea is paying a £80 million fee for the 24-year-old, 24, who signed an eight-year contract.
“That means the villa has to cash out Watkins, a Watkins striker who is already on Manchester United and Newcastle’s radar.”
Toffolo set for MLS switches
Harry Toffolo is expected to link to Charlotte FC’s Willfried Zaha after leaving Nottingham Forest.
The 29-year-old is out of contract and the Daily Mail believes he will move to Charlotte FC despite interest from Leicester City.
“The 29-year-old, a former England U20 International, is a free agent after signing a contract at City Ground this summer.
“Toffolo is looking for new challenges last season with just seven appearances for Forest, including four in the Premier League.
“Leicester City was also interested in Toffolo, but he chose to go to the state side and join former Aston Villa boss Dean Smith.”
One of the three potential exits for Koumas Liverpool
Liverpool will be cleaning up the young talent that didn’t break into Anfield’s first team.
James McConnell and Luca Stephenson are both mentioned by the Daily Star for the Grab, but Louis Coomas is linked to Wrexham, among other things.
“The 19-year-old forward made his memorable debut after scoring in a FA Cup victory over Southampton in 2024 and scoring six goals in 49 appearances on loan for Stoke City in last season’s Championship.
“The many second teams promoted Norwich City, Sheffield United, Hull City, Preston North End, Oxford, pair Birmingham City and Wrexham — all expressing interest.
“Koumas is also attracting interest in Sevilla, a Spanish outfit who slightly escaped relegation from La Liga last season.”
Ranger approaches Ant-Man
The Rangers are set to sign from the Going Eagles by Finnish international winger Oliver Ant-Man.
The 23-year-old is set to join Russell Martin’s side for £3 million, according to Daily records.
“The Finnish international winger has been removed from the Go and Eagles squad due to Sunday’s clash with PSV Eindhoven at the Dutch league and cup winner Johann Cruyff Shield.
“Ant-Man will be the third winger signed on an in-season loan agreement to the arrival of Djeidi Gassama and Tottenham Prodigy Mikey Moore.”
