Dele Alli reportedly got x from COMO’s first team team and is considering quitting football forever. In January, the 29-year-old signed an 18-month deal with Serie A Side, managed by Arsenal and Chelsea icon CESC Fabregas.

However, he managed only one club appearance by the end of the 2024/25 season. It ended miserable when he was sent nine minutes into his first professional appearance in two years, sending him to his debut with AC Milan. The injury issue hampered further games, but he returned to training his first team this summer.

However, he is reportedly omitted from Fabregas’ first team plan ahead of the 2025/26 campaign. The blow comes after saying that Alli previously believed he could return to the level where he had 37 England caps in the Premier League.

According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Alli is now seriously considering retirement. He is currently said to be training separately from the senior squad along with other tasteless players and is considering leaving professional football.

After joining from MK Dons, Alli became a cult hero for Spurs fans, scoring 69 goals in 267 games. However, seven years after the club, he joined Everton in January 2022, frozen by Antonio Conte.

However, he struggled with form and fitness in both Goodison Park and Lone Spell with Besiktas. During that period, in an interview with Gary Neville on the Overlap Podcast, he opened up to the difficult childhood and the trauma he encountered.

After signing him on the Italian side, Fabregas explained that he wanted to help the 2018 World Cup star return to his previous level. He also cited Ally’s experience as an important factor in the movement.

“The club believes in Dere’s potential and is committed to helping him rediscover his best form,” the head coach said. “His experience and leadership qualities will definitely benefit the team.”
