Manchester United have received multiple bids from Alejandro Garnacho’s overseas club, but according to reports, the winger is waiting for Chelsea. Garnacho is one of the players scheduled to leave United this summer after spending the entire preseason away from Reuben Amorim’s team.
The 21-year-old had already refused to approach Saudi club Al-Nassr, where he would have been reunited with Cristiano Ronaldo. He is considered to prioritize his Premier League stay and is trapped at Stamford Bridge as his preferred destination.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Garnacho is hoping to join Chelsea this summer after being eager to complete the switch in January.
Bruce is said to be weighing the bid that United will be filing in the second half of August, when requirements could be pressured to acquire extra cash.
Romano adds that Garnacho is eligible for multiple bids from overseas. But he’s holding back to make their move before the deadline.
Telegraph reports that Chelsea has already completed a series of background checks for Garnacho to understand his personality and personality.
He is believed to have passed those checks, but Enzo Maresca is currently focusing on RB Leipzig’s contract to attack midfielder Zabi Simons.
The need for United to generate funds from selling players would intensify the signature of Simons teammate Benjamin Sesco if they defeat Newcastle United.
Other clubs appear to be joining Chelsea with their time packed in before a delayed pursuit of fellow outcasts Antony, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia.
However, Amorim sent a clear warning to clubs interested in members of his “bomb squad” that United would not enjoy lowball offers in slow panic.

“We have a number of these players at (technical director) Jason (Wilcox), (Chief Executive Officer) Omar Bellada and the club,” Amorim explained on United’s previous US season tour.
“If they don’t get to that, they’ll be Manchester United players, there’s no doubt about that.
“Some players have to find new locations, so there’s more space in their teams. Other players are clearly indicating that they need new challenges and want a new team.
“We just have time to think and decide. We understand that the club is waiting for the last minute, but they are surprised. I’m ready to receive the players.”
