Alexander Isaac’s agent spoke about the future of the Newcastle sense in interest from Liverpool, confirming that the striker’s decision regarding the future was “close.”
Alexander Isaac’s agent has finally tackled rumors of a move to Liverpool, moving forward with Newcastle. Isak, 25, was at the heart of intense speculation last week.
Liverpool reportedly investigated Newcastle about a potential UK record-breaking deal. The Reds were said to have been prepared to split £120 million to the Swedish striker.
However, Newcastle has stuck with the attitude that Isaac is not on sale, leading Liverpool to shift focus to Hugo Ekichike of Eintrachat Frankfurt in the form of a £700 million bid.
Currently, Isak’s representative Gonzalo Gaitan has opened up about the situation to Saudi newspaper Ariyadiyah, and Isak is also linked to aspects of the Saudi professional league.
Gaitan said: “We are actually studying and analyzing all the options. We may be approaching establishing the next step for the player, without revealing details about whether ISAK will move to Newcastle or stay.”
Meanwhile, Magpie head coach Eddie Howe revealed that he was sent back to Celtic from a preseason loss in Newcastle on Saturday with a continuing transfer talk.
Hau spoke to the media after the match to see the reason behind his decision. He also expressed his belief that despite rumors, he did not see Isaac leave the club this summer.
Hau said: “It was my decision (excludes Isaac). I decided to send him home for all the speculations around him.
“The last thing he wanted was to sit in the stands and watch. That wasn’t fair to him, but I’m sure he’ll be a Newcastle United player who’s coming to the end of this window.”
Howe continued: “I’m hard to be 100% clear to any player. Alex is happy in Newcastle and he loves his players, staff and team. I’m sure he’ll be here at the beginning of the season.”
Isaac has linked to the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal following his stunning displays over the past few seasons at Tyneside.
His goalscoring format in the UK has improved year by year since joining in 2022, with Sweden International having 27 goals in 42 appearances in all competitions last season and 27 goals.
