Tottenham is considering offloading his son Hong Min with MLS interest this summer, but the club will not be able to sell strikers before the pre-season tour unless they want to regain their financial punishment
Tottenham is squeezing the £15 million offer that Captain Song Heung-min and the South Korean star targeted by LAFC, but no decision will be made prior to the preseason tour in Asia.
The 10-year-old stint in North London, at age 33 could have just finished selling the 33-year-old if Tottenham received an offer of between £15 million and £20 million. The move to MLS still relies on his son who agrees to cross the Atlantic.
The son will not be offloaded before the club heads east due to pre-season plans. The Europa League winner will face Newcastle in Seoul, South Korea on August 3rd. This comes after a clash with North London rivals Arsenal in Hong Kong.
Tottenham’s presence in Asia is heavily driven by his appetite of seeing his son, an icon in that part of the world. As a result, Tottenham loses up to 75% of the revenue that the Korean star receives to play if it misses, the Sun reports.
He’s down as a “key player” on the touring Premier League contract. If he travels with the team but doesn’t play, the Spurs will lose half their fees.

My son has left a charm figure in Tottenham under many different managers. Thomas Frank is currently at the helm and appears to be open to staying forward or going as he embarks on a rebuild. The former Brentford boss said: “Now I have a player who is completely committed and trained. If a player has been with the club for a long time, there is always a decision the club will take.”
The Korean, who won the Premier League golden boots in 2022, has endured a less productive season since their arrival in the previous period. He scored seven times and came up with nine assists in 30 Premier League appearances.
Despite showing the team’s misery domestically, his son was the man who lifted the trophy as the club finished 17 years waiting for silverware. When Manchester United was beat, the forwards raised the Bilbao Europa League trophy.
Dominique Solanke arrived last summer 12 months after Harry Kane’s exit. This year, Frank is looking to add more firepower to Mohamed Kudus, who arrived from West Ham for £55 million. Tottenham also hopes to secure Morgan Gibbs White’s service from Nottingham Forest.
