Alejandro Garnacho is one of several big names tilted to leave Manchester United, and the club is ready to take a massive financial hit just to drive him out of Old Trafford
Manchester United have almost halved their demands for Alejandro Garnacho and are about to leave the club this summer, so they will accept £40 million for Argentina.
Garnacho’s value in the market this time 12 months ago was thought to be around £70 million, but his inventory is so low that Miller Football understands that United are willing to accept a £30 million hit to kick the 21-year-old winger out of the book.
The young man was once considered one of the club’s future stars, but his performances were soaked, he also struggled to find a role that would bring the best out of him in the Reuben Amorim system.
Chelsea previously linked to Ghanacho, but Garnacho scored 11 times in the previous period, but Napoli was also interested in the past. Bidders have not approached so far, but the significant drop in Manchester Club’s demands may see the change.
Garnacho pissed off major figures at Old Trafford when the season ended with the Aston Villa shirt named after Rashford on the holidays while his image was viral on social media. It also came after his response to his Europa League snubs did not impress his manager.

Argentina was named on the bench for a collision in Bilbao, where United lost. Garnacho was late and swarmed on the pitch and was seen chatting with Tottenham defender Sergio Regiron. Hours before kickoff, he shared a photo of his scores with local rival Manchester City in the FA Cup final on social media, with many coming to their own conclusions.
After the match, the player said: “I played every round that supported the team up until the final. I’ll play 20 minutes today. The finals affect (my decision), but the whole season, the club situation. I’ll enjoy the summer and see what happens afterwards.”
United are not the only players ready to lose millions of distance. Marcus Rashford is lending it to Barcelona as the Spanish club has the option to buy it next summer. They can do so for £26 million, despite the Red Devils saying Aston Villa a few months ago that the price was £40 million.
Jadon Sancho was signed by Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for just over £700 million. He has since taken two loan spells, and the Red Devils have him leave for £15 million forever. Antony joined United in 2022 for £86 million, but his value has also plummeted, with the clubs of interest being quoted around £30 million to sign him.
