Reuben Amorim’ wants a £60 million striker than Benjamin Sesco. Soccer | Sports

According to the report, Reuben Amorim would prefer Manchester United to stop pursuing Benjamin Sesco and sign another striker instead. The latter is said to have emerged as the top target for the Red Devils, who are eager to add more firepower ahead of the new campaign. He certainly knows where the goals are and scored 21 goals for RB Leipzig last season.

United is believed to be reinforcing Sesco’s pursuit with informal debates that are said to be ongoing. The delegation was reportedly sent to Germany with the aim of finding a breakthrough in speaking at the club level. However, Amorim doesn’t seem entirely certain that Sesco is the right guy to lead the United line.

According to Talksport, he would prefer to sign Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa. Watkins was originally United’s biggest choice as a result of his Premier League experience, but is now considered to be moving forward at Sesco.

Christopher Vivel, head of United’s recruitment, is claimed to be the leading architect behind the pursuit of the Slovenian forward. He is younger than Watkins. In other words, he is thought to have a higher ceiling and a higher potential resale value.

United have yet to rule out Watkins’ move, which is believed to be valued at around £60 million by its current employer. However, it is clear that Sesko has emerged as a priority target for Amorim’s wishes.

The report adds that United knows that they need to act quickly to sign Sesco before Newcastle. Players are thought to prefer the idea of a transition to Old Trafford, where they can swing odds courtesy of United.

After Arsenal asked about Sesco availability early in the window, they signed Sports Victor Jution. They reportedly cited a price tag of over £70 million, but United are optimistic that they could agree to a deal for nearly £60 million.

Other reports suggest that United could put in one of their players to reduce Cesco’s asking price. Rasmus Hojlund is said to be considered a “dream” target for RB Leipzig and can be included to sweeten the deal.

It appears that Amorim isn’t the only one who has doubts about Sesco.

Speaking about his YouTube channel earlier this week, he said:

“I don’t really doubt (Sesko) as a player. Man United says they need experience on the top of the pitch. They have Hozilund, they have (Joshua) Zilky, they have Chido (Obi). They are young, inexperienced players.

“They need to go look at someone. ‘That’s how you play as No. 9, that’s how you do it.” I think that’s another risk when you buy someone who doesn’t have as much experience as I want. ”
