Manchester United Environment “Toxic, Very Negative, Not Healthy,” says Lukeshaw, whose key focus of Luken Amorim has been revealed in recent years – see the clip

Luke Shaw has given clear insight into life at Manchester United in recent years, describing the environment as “toxic” and “extremely negative.”

The Red Devils have been struggling with a surprising decline in recent years, culminating in 51 years with a lowest finish last season.

United were able to call up a 15th place finish in the Premier League, wasting their chance to save the season with a 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Europa League final.

The show was talking during the club’s pre-season US tour.

“It is very toxic, it is an environment and not healthy at all.

“We need a healthy environment. It’s positive, it has good energy and happiness. When you have all of them, you feel free and you express yourself more on the pitch.

“In my time here, it feels like I’m probably the closest I’ve got on the team. I think the atmosphere is really good and very positive. Hopefully it can last.”

United also reportedly aims to offload Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Tyrell Malacia and Jadon Sancho, with the show backing Reuben Amorim in an attempt to cut the troops.

He continued: “Because at the end of the day, the manager always has his work on the line.

“He wants to do exactly what he wants because he is always at the end of the stick.

“He wants to come in and do things his own way and break his authority over the club. I think that’s the only way he can do that, especially at Man United.”

Amorim conducted a series of honest post-match interviews throughout the past seasons, highlighting the flaws of his team.

And Shaw gave his support to that approach.

“I think we need to raise demands on all levels, and that’s what I think Reuben definitely brings, especially mentality,” Shaw added.

“The mentality is a big thing on his lips. I really think he’s talking a lot about it, especially on a daily basis, in training. Reuben demands 100%, and not only that, but he doesn’t want anything less.

“If someone is doing 85-90%, that’s not enough. I feel like you’re not playing, especially if you’re not doing the right thing this year.

“And he doesn’t care. I think he saw what he’s done with different players over the past eight months. He doesn’t care who the players are.

“No matter what the manager wants, we as players, we have to offer it. Yes, yes, we’re totally behind it.”
