Manchester United defender Luke Shaw welcomed Reuben Amorim by ensuring that “stragglers” were no longer in the dressing room before the new season. Amorim took a ruthless approach to managing his team by ousting five players at the start of the preseason, maintaining harmony and unity between the groups.
Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Tyrell Malacia were given more time to explore the movement, with the title, titled “Bomb Squad.” Quintet later returned to training at Carrington, but was asked to arrive after Amorim and his players finished the session and left.
Rashford has since sealed off the seasonal loan move to Barcelona, but the other four stars remain banished while they wait for them to resolve their future.
The preseason is a key time to boost morale and bonds with teammates, especially after the final campaign.
And Shaw welcomed Amorim’s efforts to bring the team together in the necessary means, claiming that the US player was behind his cutthroat approach.
“His mentality, his demands, he’s strict with the group. He won’t turn the stones over. I don’t think there’s a straggler in this group anymore,” Shaw explained in Chicago.

“That’s what we need to keep us more as a family and make sure we’re driving in the same direction.”
