Alexander Isaac’s training in Newcastle alone had a simple reason, but rumors about his future will not go away. Newcastle fans entered the meltdown Tuesday, with photos showing his own training following a week of turbulence involving a star striker.

Isaac was not part of the team that was hit 4-0 by Celtic in Glasgow on Saturday. Eddie Howe decided to kick him out of the spotlight. “I chose to send him home,” the Newcastle boss said after the match.

“The last thing I want if Alex isn’t playing is sitting in the stands and under that scrutiny, mutually agreeing that he shouldn’t be here if he’s not going to play today.

“It was my decision. He returned to Glasgow with us, but I decided to send him home due to speculation around him.

These comments were an attempt to wipe things out, but they definitely only increased speculation around the Swedish star. The fact that he was then shown to be away from his teammates and that his training was furious.

However, Newcastleworld says Isaac had trained himself as a precautionary measure after being scanned for thigh injuries. It’s clearly back, but reports on strikers continue. Talksport says he is calling for a significant wage increase.

ISAK currently earns around £120,000 a week with Magpies, but he is reportedly upset at £300,000 a week to sign a new deal amid profits from Saudi Arabia. His current conditions still remain for three years, but Newcastle knows they are potentially vulnerable to clubs that can provide him with more money.

Newcastle player Alexander Isaac spoke about his coaches and tactics for Eddie Howe and Jason Tyndal at St James Park in Newcastle upon Tyne at Newcastle United FC and Leicester City FC's Premier League match on December 14th, 2024.

Liverpool contacted Newcastle last week to inquire about Isaac’s £120 million deal last week. That approach could destroy Newcastle’s wage structure. Newcastle’s wage structure now has Brunogimaraz as the topper at £160,000 a week.

Once Liverpool’s threat is gone, Isaac is expected to join his teammates on Newcastle’s Asian preseason tour. And Howe is absolutely clear about what the future holds for their star strikers will be.

“We have some irreplaceable players,” Howe said. “Your top players are very hard to find, hard to recruit and very hard to develop. So when you have them, you need to cherish them. Of course, we’re desperate to keep him part of the team.

“For me, I think it’s difficult to give any player 100% clarity. I don’t do that. Alex is happy in Newcastle. He loves the players, staff, team. He hasn’t had any issues.
