Manchester United are considering signing a new goalkeeper before the summer transfer period ends, and it’s just increasing the chances of winning one of the best in the world
Manchester United are squeezing Genluigi Donnaruma’s move after Paris Saint-Germain agrees to a £34.9 million deal to sign the new goalkeeper. Donnarumma, 26, has seen his future plunge into uncertainty after he disagrees with a new deal.
Italy International’s current contract with PSG will expire next summer, and the European champions don’t want to lose him anything. Therefore, Luis Enrique’s side listens to Donnaruma’s offer after signing an agreement to sign Lille and Lucas Chevalier.
The PSG move could lead to Ruben Amorim becoming eager to his own new goalkeeper and unite. The Red Devils are understood to be interested in the Royal Antwerp Senne Ranmen, who offers Andre Onana’s competition.
Although Onana has no plans to leave Old Trafford, the shape of Cameroon was a problem for Amorim. The United manager was kicked out of the 29-year-old’s shooting towards the end of last season after a string of mistakes.
But instead of signing a promising shot stopper like Rammen, the highly experienced Donnaruma could be an option after a personal discussion with his Italian teammate about his move to the UK. French outlet L’Equipe reports that both United and rival Manchester City have registered interest in Donnaruma in preparation for PSG to welcome Chevalier.

Chelsea is also tied to the movement while it is said that Galatasaray has taken it a step further by taking a formal approach. It would be a surprise when City puts a hat in the ring after signing a £27 million deal with Burnley to re-sign James Trafford.
The topic of the future of Donnarumma was bubbled under the surface as PSG helped PSG eventually win their hands to the Champions League in May. Like last month, Donnaruma confirmed that staying in Paris is his priority.
“My priority is to stay with PSG. I don’t think there’s any problem with negotiations,” Donal Mama told SkyItalia on June 9th. “We’re a great team.”

Napoli also links with Donnaruma, but his agent, Enzo Raiola – cousin of late superagent, Mino dismissed the speculation by labeling it as “pure fantasy.” “I have a great relationship with (Napolitan) director Giovanni Manna, but I have never discussed Gigio,” Raiola told Radio CRC via Calciomercato.
“He feels good in Paris and we are in the European Championship Club so there are no complaints. We are working on an update. I have never ruled out interest from the top Italian clubs, but there have been no negotiations.
“He’s still young. He has to squeeze him for at least 10 years. But at this point it’s very difficult to see Donnaruma in the Italian Championship. We’re talking not only about numbers, but also about sports projects.
“In Italy, Milan and Juventus are struggling beyond Inter, who have reached the Champions League final, and they are in the process of restructuring. These factors are fundamental.”
