Chloe Kelly was brightening up her name as she won the Lioness victory penalty, but the English female star has been called cocky by the Spanish media
British hero Chloe Kelly has been labelled “sakky” by Spanish media as being criticised for her celebration. The Arsenal winger broke the winning penalty to bring the Lioness to the Euro success.
It was the second time they claimed European glory in a row, but Kelly’s antics have not gone well with foreign media. They claim that her celebration in front of La Roja Stopper Kata Kol was “unnecessary.”
They say that, as Spanish outlet Dario claims, Kelly, who recorded the final victory over Germany in the UK’s 2022 Euro final victory, turned her way and gestured in front of the keeper after scoring from 12 yards.
They write: “My Friend, My Friend: Kelly’s cheeky gesture to Kata Kol after winning a decisive penalty. England experts changed her run during the celebration of her penalty to pass the goalkeeper she beat.” It comes after Kelly made a B-line in the corner for England supporters, but it was said to be “sakky” and rude.
Kelly came out of the bench for the Euro final and produced some historic contributions. Before winning the penalty, she supported Areciarsso’s 57-minute equalizer and canceled Mariona Caldentay’s Spanish opener.

Kelly missed a penalty in his semi-final victory over Italy and scored a rebound, and history was decisively not repeated. She said: “I didn’t miss two on the bounce. I’m cool, I was composed. I knew I would hit the back of the net. I’d never miss a penalty twice.”
The 27-year-old feared that her England would disappear as she struggled with form and minutes during her Manchester City. Kelly eventually signed Arsenal on loan in January and moved her forever in July.
“If it’s about someone going through the same thing, tough times won’t last long,” she said. “Just around the corner was the Champions League final. We won and now we won the Euro final.”
Kelly welcomed the influence of her manager, Salina Wigman.
Speaking to those who doubted her, the Arsenal star told people on social media, “Thank you to everyone who wrote me down – I’m grateful.”
