Mbeumo spoke enthusiastically about her 29-year-old on the Rio Ferdinand Presents Podcast. Looking back at his time at Brentford, Mbemo said:
“He can fall on set or go backwards, which I think is good for me and for the winger because he can use his space to fit there.
“I think it’s really important to have a really good relationship from the pitch with my teammates. Also, when my English got better, I was able to have a good chat with him.”

However, the Villa’s international English rating is £60 million, about £15 million more than what United are ready to fire. That’s because Watkins still has three years left on his contract.
He is a key player under Unai Emery, scoring 44 goals in all competitions over the past two seasons, but his future at Villa Park is in balance. He was pushed down the pecking order last season after United Lawn’s Marcus Rashford arrived at the Villa.
