Marcus Rashford made his Barcelona debut on Sunday, enjoying a 30-minute cameo after completing his switch from Manchester United.
Rashford joined Blaugrana in a loan move during the season after becoming part of Reuben Amorim’s “bomb squad” at Old Trafford last week. Barca has the option to make Rashford’s deal permanent for £206 million next summer.
After training with a new Spanish teammate, Rashford flew on the club’s Japanese preseason tour. The Catalan Giants then won a 3-1 victory over Bissel Kobe in Rashford’s first match.
Rashford was replaced in 78 minutes after his appearance at halftime. After the match, Barcelona manager Hansifrique explained why the 27-year-old came out 33 minutes after he came.
“He’s a week behind the others,” he said. “He doesn’t train the ball very much. We want to take care of him. It was a very good game and a good test for us.

“The first 30 minutes were great. After that, we lost a bit of control, but the second half was very good. I’m happy. How they pushed us the ball on, it’s really funny. You know they have a clear idea.
Things worked out for Barka on the pitch, but that was a different story. After the victory, the club was forced to post a short statement and apologized to supporters for the friendly live stream.
“The club apologizes for the inconvenience during the broadcast of the match against Vissel Kobe. FC Barcelona’s streaming platform has been hit by a large proportions attack from various pages trying to capture live feeds of preseason games against Vissel Kobe.
“As a result of this avalanche of requests, the system was involved in the relevant security mechanisms and affected the broadcast of the website and Culers app.
“Straight, the decision has been made to provide the game for free to be provided on the club’s YouTube platform. The club apologises for the inconvenience of contacting all affected people.”
Next Balka will be friendly to Seoul in the South Korean capital on Thursday. Rashford will be reuniting with former unit teammate Jesse Lingard, who is captain of the K-League Giants.
