Arsenal star William Saliba is interested in Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, but the Frenchman has spoken about where he will see his near future
William Saliba has given Arsenal fans a great boost by revealing that he is discussing a new contract as the Gunners prepare for another Premier League title challenge. The French defender is one of the most popular centre-backs in world football, with people like Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain watching his situation.
However, the 23-year-old has revealed that he wants to stay in North London and play a key role in the push of Mikel Arteta’s glory. Saliba is asked if he would sign a new deal and says, “Yeah, hopefully. Of course there’s nothing right now, but I have a good conversation with my agent and the club. Let’s take a look.”
Following a string of updates at Arsenal, Saliba’s central defense partner Gabriel will sign a new five-year deal in May. Young people Miles Lewis Skelly and Ethan Nuwaneri are also violating a long-term future for the club, and star winger Bukayo Saka is also lined up to fresh conditions.
Saliba was speaking after Arsenal closed out the Singapore leg of the Asia Tour, beating Newcastle 3-2, and also defeating AC Milan. The gunners are heading to Hong Kong now, facing fierce rival Tottenham on Thursday.
France International is excited about the direction their team is heading, especially after the club signed six new players this summer. Viktor Gyoker joined Suquad and was able to watch Sunday’s victory. Crystal Palace playmaker Eberechi served as a solid target.

“Every year it differs,” he added. “We have to learn from the last three seasons, and of course we are lucky to have the opportunity to compete again and try to win in the Premier League.
“Our mindset is to win the Premier League and we provide everything from the first game. We have a lot of new players.
“The pressure is good. I mean, we’re in a good place. We need to continue like this. If we’re not good, there’s no pressure, so that’s a good thing.

Saliba was also blown away by two 15-year-old talents, Max Dowman and Marli Salmon.
“They’re incredible. They’re young so we shouldn’t put pressure on them, but to play the way they play at age 15!
“I was with the U-17, so that’s good. We have to protect them and give them support, but of course they are really good players and I hope they can help us as soon as possible.”
