After being deeply linked to the move to Tottenham Hotspur, Morgan Gibbs White will be staying in Nottingham Forest after signing a new contract that will run until 2028.
“The support from the fans, my teammates and everyone around the club is incredible.
“I believe in what we are building here, and with Mr. Marinakis’ support and the enormous ambitions he has, I want to be involved in creating something special. I’m excited about what’s coming.”
Gibbswhite initially did not join the team when Forest jumped into Portugal to continue the preseason. He then jumped out later in the week and played friendly with Fulham later on Saturday night.
As part of the contract announcement, Forest released photos of Marinakis and Gibbs White from Team Kit at Estadio de San Luis, where they played Fulham.

Gibbs White appears to have been set as the fifth senior player Tottenham signed during this transfer period, and should have pushed his total spending to nearly £200 million.
But Gibbs White has now committed his future in the forest. And the manager of Nuno Espirito Santo can prepare for a European campaign with England International with his plans.
“Morgan is a special player, not only in terms of talent, but also in terms of personality and mentality,” Marinakis said. “He represents everything we want this football club. He is a winner, talented, ambitious, fearless and proud.
