Manchester United reportedly could land three more signatures before the summer transfer period ends. The eye-opening £130 million has already been spent on Brian Mbeumo and Matthew Cunha.
A much larger overhaul of Reuben Amorim’s team is needed to ensure United will suffer another disastrous season. The only way is after the Red Devils finished 15th in the Premier League and lost to the Europa League final against Tottenham. More new signatures are expected to replace players who struggled with Amorim’s system in the second half of the previous period.
According to Transfer Expert Fabrizio Romano, United will be signing up to three more players before the end of the window. Strikers and goalkeepers are priorities at this stage of the summer. However, another midfielder could also be welcomed by Old Trafford.
Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee were overwhelmed last season. RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesco is reportedly on United’s radar as an upgrade.
Goalkeeper Andre Onana also infused flounder last season. His error-prone display will cost United Points. The new shot stopper is being debated as a possibility. Despite the club boasting huge qualities in the middle of the pitch, the midfielders were also able to arrive at United.
Amorim argues that any player who joined United must purchase entirely for his project. The Portuguese coach told the club’s media channel: “They need to want to come here. I think all the fans can do is want players who have already proven (by themselves).
“And one of the things that really matters is they want to come here. That’s the key point. If we can find someone in the market, help the team and have all the boxes with them, then we’re going to do that.
United may need to sanction significant deviations before another major spending. Jadon Sancho, Antony and Alejandro Garnacho remain at the club despite being told there is no future under Amorim.
