Jordi Alba is gone. Inter Miami’s left-back announced in a video that he will retire from football at the end of the current season. Champion of Europe in 2012, winner of the Champions League with Barcelona in 2015, the player of Llobregat Hospitalet became one of the best “three” in the history of Spanish football.
His retirement follows that of Inter Miami teammate Sergio Basquets, who announced a few days ago that he would be hanging up his boots at the end of the season. “I feel it’s time to say goodbye to my career as a professional football player. It’s been almost 20 years of enjoying this incredible story that I always dreamed of,” said the midfielder.
