tHe is the highest individual award given to Baron de Holle in the world of football. Some of the greatest players in history have won awards. This was announced by the French magazine French Football.
The Ballon d’Or has been awarded annually since 1956, but with the exception of 2020, it has not been awarded due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The number of Baron de Ors acquired by players is one of the measures fans use in the eternal debate about the greatest players in history.
That’s a bit of a useless statistic, as the awards were only given to European players until 1995. Because of this, Pere and Diego Maradona did not win it during their incredible performances.
Meanwhile, Alfredo di Stefano was also able to win the Baron Dollar, as he also had Spanish nationality.
So here are the top three on the list:
1. Lionel Messi: 8 Baron de Orle
The Argentinian defeated his tie with Cristiano Ronaldo in 2019, extending the Portuguese lead in 2021 to 2.
The overwhelming dominance of both players over the past 15 years is reflected in this award. InterMiami players won four consecutive Ballon D’Ors between 2009 and 2012, but took home the trophies to 2015, 2019, 2021 and ADN 2023.
2. Cristano Ronaldo: 5 Barondo
At the Battle of Portuguese and Messi, five awards were sent to the Madeira players. Cristiano won his first award in 2008 as a Manchester United player.
After his Real Madrid career was over, he left as the club’s top scorer. This on-pitch production appeared in the Ballon d’Or results as the trophies were unlocked in 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017.
His debut with Podium came in 2007 when he came third behind Messi and Kaka.
3. Platini, Kroof, Van Basten: 3 Baron de Orle
Michael Platini leads the podium of the award’s most prolific recipients, as the French player has won three times. While playing for Juventus, the former UEFA president won Baron D’or for three consecutive years (between 1983 and 1985).
The remaining players who won more than three awards were completed by Dutch people Johann Cruyff and Marco van Basten. While playing for Barcelona in 1973 and 1974, Cruyff won his first Ballon d’Or as an Ajax player in 1971, winning two other players.
Van Basten began his career with the Ajax under Cruyff, but individual acclaim went his way as an AC Milan player, winning awards in 1988, 1989 and 1992.
