mIdfielder Savannah Demelo, who races Louisville in the NWSL, is “steady and conscious” after falling apart during a match against Seattle’s reign.
The 27-year-old collapsed just before his break. The Californian-born sat on the grass and fell back a few seconds later. The incident forced an ambulance to enter Seattle’s lumen fields and take her to the hospital.

In a statement, her club said: “Savannah is immediately noticed on the field and is steady and conscious. She was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.”
The match between Seattle’s reign and Rayle Evil was tied 0-0, but was suspended until later.
DeMelo was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism a year ago after suffering from medical complications in another match.
“I couldn’t stand playing a 90-minute game. I’ve probably reached 25 minutes and feel my heart beating so fast as it leaps out of my chest. I was in a pang and I wasn’t feeling well at all.
