jUventus reports that American midfielder Weston McKennie was racially abused for visiting fans during a clash with Serie A Parma.
Playing just two minutes in a 2-0 victory over Parma, McKenney then stayed on the pitch to do some training exercises as usual along with other teammates who didn’t play the game.

At that moment, there were few Juventus fans left in the stadium, but Parma fans were still not escorted – a common practice with visiting fans who said he was subjected to racist abuse.
“At the end of the match with Palma, Weston McKenney was the subject of discriminatory expressions of a racist nature by some people in the away sector.
“Juventus strongly condemns this episode and all forms of racism, ensuring the greatest collaboration with sports justice bodies to identify whoever is responsible,” he added.
Parma publicly denounced the fans’ attitude. “Palma Calcio strongly condemns all forms of racism and discrimination on and off the pitch in connection with the events that took place last night after a match at Allianz Stadium in Turin.”
“Racist intolerance or other forms of abusive behavior are never tolerated or accepted, and must always be addressed, challenged and condemned,” the club said.
“President Kyle J. Klaus, along with the entire Palma Calcio team, is fully committed to promoting culture based on core values such as respect, inclusion and equality,” the Palma statement concluded.
