Scottish star Scott McTominay is soaking up the sun in St Barts with his beautiful girlfriend Cam Reading. The former Manchester United star is enjoying some time away from football following Scotland’s World Cup exit.
The 29-year-old jetted off to the Caribbean island with his partner Cam. Despite Scotland failing to reach the World Cup finals, this will be a summer to remember for McTominay, despite representing his country on the sport’s biggest stage. The Napoli midfielder played a key role in the team qualifying for the tournament for the first time since 1998. A first win over Haiti wasn’t enough for Scotland to progress and they were drawn in a tough group with Brazil and Morocco. In the aftermath, McTominay opted to make more memories with his partner on the luxurious island of St Barts before turning his attention back to club football.
In an Instagram post, Cam uploaded a collection of photos from her lavish holiday, including one in which she was pictured alongside McTominay with a glass of wine. The model also displayed a series of stylish ensembles and coastal views, captioning the images “St. Barths.”
Saint-Barthelemy is a French overseas territory located in the Caribbean Sea and has a population of 11,550 people. The island has an area of 9.7 square miles and is a popular destination for many millionaires.
Former Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich bought the island property in 2009. In addition, Forbes reported that NBA icon Michael Jordan and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos were among the many billionaires who docked their superyachts in St. Barts last December ahead of New Year’s Eve.
McTominay will have welcomed the chance to finally relax after a tough season. The midfielder appeared in 44 matches for Napoli, scoring 14 goals, after which he departed for the World Cup.
Although he played all three of Scotland’s group games, he failed to help Scotland progress to the next stage and manager Steve Clarke was forced to resign. The team endured a nerve-wracking waiting period after ultimately losing 3-0 to Brazil, monitoring the scenario for the third-placed team, which ultimately did not work in their favor.
McTominay began his career through Manchester United’s academy, joining the first team in 2017. After making 255 appearances for his boyhood club, he joined Napoli in 2024, helping the club win the league title and winning the Serie A Player of the Year award in his debut season.
