Jordan Pickford 4 – He can’t lose at the near post like that. He has had terrible results in the World Cup.
Jed Spence 4 – To be honest, looking back at the season he’s had, it’s anyone’s guess how he would have done at this World Cup. Exposure.
Ezri Konsa 5 – Unwittingly came close to equalizing, but England’s defense was once again exposed.
Marc Gehi 6 – The calmest guy in the defense – doesn’t say much. Issue 4 is back again.
Nico O’Reilly 5 – His aerial threat and defense were important, but none of the defenders played well.
Declan Rice 5 – Screamed on the bench in frustration after England conceded a goal.
Elliot Anderson 5 – Very quiet and calm. Looked far from his best.
Noni Madueke 5 – I understood the slope, but it didn’t work. Almost no final product was provided without a cover.
Jude Bellingham 6 – Reserved. He came close with a header, but you could see his frustration building up.
Marcus Rashford 5 – Gets the ball under his feet to take the lead on the first water break. One person stepped off the line.
Harry Kane 5 – Toe off with one chance. The Democratic Republic of Congo kept him very quiet and irritated.
