Messi also emphasized how quickly the stadium became a meaningful space for the team. Although they have only been there for a short time, there is a sense that it has already become part of the club’s identity, something that rarely happens so quickly.
The Argentine player made it clear that the debut will be a special moment, not only for the players, but also for all the fans who have followed the project since its inception. Expectations are high and the atmosphere is unique. Messi insisted that it will be an enjoyable day for the club, for the people and for those who will finally be able to watch their team play in a stadium that reflects Inter Miami’s growth and ambitions.
Inter Miami CF’s new stadium, dubbed New Stadium, is scheduled to be inaugurated on Saturday, April 4, 2026, in an official match against Austin FC. Located within the Miami Freedom Park complex near Miami International Airport, the venue will have a capacity of 26,700, an increase of 5,000 seats over the previous Chase Stadium. Featuring a modern European-style design, Bermuda grass with a ‘lay and play’ system and a special section called the ‘Leo Messi Stand’, the stadium is part of an ambitious project that also includes commercial areas, a hotel and a 23-hectare park, marking a new chapter for Lionel Messi’s club.
