Former Real Madrid player Sami Khedira has expressed his concerns to Sport Bild about what will happen in the Champions League quarter-finals against Bayern Munich. “They are unstoppable. I have never seen a match like this in Europe at this level. Bayern are focused on getting a big win and will never be satisfied with 1-0, 2-0, 3-0,” he said.
The German player pointed out one of Real Madrid’s potential weaknesses against the Bavarian side. “Mbappé and Vinicius are not completely comfortable under high pressure, which can undermine team cohesion and affect team spirit,” he said.
“If they can get the ball behind the defense, it will be very difficult for Real Madrid to stop their quick developments. That is their biggest strength, with the first passes from Kimmich, Pavlovic and even Kane,” he said.
Real Madrid will face Bayern at the Santiago Bernabéu on Tuesday, April 7th, and will play their return match at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, April 15th, which will also be disadvantageous for the Spanish team.
“Olise is perfect for Real Madrid”
Khedira also spoke about Michael Oliseh, one of Bayern’s great stars. “He’s a perfect fit for Real Madrid. It would be very strange if Real Madrid didn’t seriously consider him,” he said. “Real Madrid does not want to spend large amounts of money on established older stars. They prefer to invest in the development of players with at least six to eight years of experience. At 24 years old, Oliseh meets these requirements. He offers a complete solution and fits perfectly into the club’s vision.”
