ILamine Yamal took center stage in the build-up to the Champions League final, the second leg of the Round of 16 between Barcelona and Newcastle.
The Rose star, who saved his team with a 1-1 equalizer in the first leg against Newcastle and kept the series alive for a rematch at home, sent a powerful message.
Coach Lamine’s message for the match against Newcastle
The Blaugrana returned to Camp Nou on November 25, 2025, but had not hosted a Champions League final since 2019, when they defeated Liverpool 3-0.
After a seven-year wait, Hansi Flick’s team will now play such a match in front of their home crowd at the renovated legendary stadium.
Fan support will be essential to face Newcastle after a long wait, so Yamal expressed confidence in the build-up to the match.
As is customary before a Rose match, the young star addressed his 40.1 million followers on his official Instagram account, sharing a motivational message on his Stories and mentioning the importance of the change.
“Monjuc was the beginning. Camp Nou is a place where history is written,” Rose Jewel wrote alongside a photo showing only part of his arm.
The young man also set the mood by playing music to the song “Estamos bien” by Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny.

The 18-year-old Barcelona star scored the goal in the first leg, converting a penalty from Dani Olmo just before stoppage time (90+6 minutes). Newcastle scored in the 86th minute with Harvey Barnes.
Newcastle arrive full of confidence and hopes of pulling off an upset at this legendary venue, while Hansi Flick’s side remain unbeaten and rely on the strength of a superior attacking home team to reach the quarter-finals.
It will definitely be an exciting match with high expectations.
