aAs part of the growth of the International Academy, the Argentine Football Association held an institutional and educational event in Miami, which attracted more than 500 children. The event featured a special appearance by Javier Mascherano and Maxi Rodrguez, historical figures of the Argentine national team.
The event was led by AFA Commercial Marketing Director Leandro Petersen, who highlighted the strategic importance of developing the Academy as part of the Association’s global expansion process and consolidation in key markets such as the United States.
A model that goes beyond sports
During the event, the growth of AFA’s 16 international football academies was highlighted. Designed as comprehensive training centers for children and youth, these academies are based on Argentine football methodologies and values such as leadership, teamwork and discipline.
More than 500 children took part in training sessions, technical clinics and recreational activities. They enjoyed the unique experience of sharing the field with Mascherano and Maxi Rodriguez. Elite soccer players interacted with the youngsters and signed their jerseys. They also shared their experiences.
During the event, Maxi Rodriguez spoke about the Legend Match and stressed the importance of staying connected with the nation and representing the history of the Argentina national team on the international stage.
