Arda Güler’s football coach Serhat Pekmeci has claimed that Turkish players are being bullied at Real Madrid.

“The harassment is coming from the players. There is a group there who cannot accept Aruda. Unfortunately, they are players with very high egos.”
“Real Madrid is a mega club, but Arda Güler is suffering from mobbing. He hasn’t complained to me, but I knew this was going to happen. I told him to be patient,” Güler’s early coach said in an interview that had a big impact on Turkey.
Alda is very patient and aware of things, but still begins to rebel
Coach Serhat Pekmezi did not hesitate to point out those responsible for the mob attack against Güler (systematic workplace harassment), saying, “The harassment is coming from the players. There is a group out there who cannot accept Arda. Unfortunately, they are players with very high egos.”
“Arda is very patient and conscious, but even he is starting to rebel and say, ‘Why always me?'” he said of the Turkish footballer’s attitude.
“Klopp has already said that some players will need to leave Madrid for him to join.”
Guler’s coach claimed that the toxicity in Real Madrid’s dressing room prevented Jurgen Klopp from signing him and facilitated Xabi Alonso’s departure: “Klopp had already said that in order for him to come, some players needed to leave, so Xabi Alonso left too.”
Selhat Pekmeci: “Fenerbahce is a bigger club than Real Madrid”
Serhat Pekmeci claimed in an interview that Fenerbahce are “a bigger club than Real Madrid”.
“I have always maintained that Fenerbahce is no different from Real Madrid. In fact, for me, Fenerbahce is a bigger club than Real Madrid. We have a basketball team that won the Champions League, we have world-famous athletes. Countless star players have come here. We have the Brazilian national team on the world championships. We have a lot of legends who have come out of our ranks, like Oguz and Aykut. These people are different, they served nothing but Fenerbahce. They did their job, they sweated for the jersey and they set a great example for future generations,” he said.
Serhat Pekmezci harsh exit from Fenerbahce: ‘I was brutally harassed’
Selhat Pekmeci was in charge of signing talents such as Arda Guler and Yusuf Akcicek (Al Hilal) at Fenerbahce, but he did not achieve good results with the Kadikoy (Istanbul) team.
“I was fired. The president and administrator of the academy at the time were not happy with me. They disbanded my team. They said, ‘You can do it alone,’ and they harassed me a lot,” he said.
“It looked like Messi was coming, but it turns out this guy has serious mental problems.”
Pekmez also spoke about Al Nasr’s loan of Colombian footballer John Duran to Fenerbahce in July 2025.
“We have enough data to write a book about the 2026 season. What is it? A guy called (John) Duran was transferred. His arrival caused a big surprise. It seemed like Leo Messi was coming. But it turned out that this guy has serious mental problems,” he said.
