Cristiano Ronaldo signed with Al Nasr in December 2022 after terminating his contract with Manchester United and signing a contract worth an estimated annual salary of more than 200 million yen, making him the highest-paid player in the world.
His arrival in the Saudi league has excited fans, but the team president recently revealed that the Portuguese captain will play an important role not only on the field, but also off it.

CR7’s role in Al Nasr
The 40-year-old star has established himself as one of the most outstanding players in football history, playing for clubs such as Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus, as well as the Portuguese national team.
Currently, his influence on the Saudi league has not only attracted the attention of thousands of club fans, but also the attention of other players such as Ju Flix and Sadio Mann.
Al Nasr president Abdullah Almajid said the Portuguese was a key figure in convincing several players to join or stay in the team.
“He helped convince a lot of players,” he said, according to NFC1World.
However, Abdullah Almajid refused to comment on the captain’s involvement and its impact on the team.
He added: “Ronaldo owns no shares in the club. This is his business and the owner’s business.”
Meanwhile, Ronaldo added another achievement to his career by breaking the record for the highest foreign scorer in Al Nasr’s history (116 goals), with whom he is under contract until 2027.
Furthermore, his goal in the 2-1 win over Damac took him to 960 goals in all competitions, leaving him 40 goals away from reaching 1,000, making him the only player in soccer history to achieve this feat.
Now, CR7 and Al Nasr will face Al Tawon this Sunday, January 26th, at the Al Awal Park Stadium, looking for another win to continue climbing the league standings and win the team’s first title.
