TThe Kings League was a great success, and the World Cup of Nations in Brazil was an even greater success. With two finalists already confirmed for the tournament in Brazil and Chile, many memorable moments and a significantly larger audience, Gerard Pique has spoken about the possibility of Lionel Messi taking part in the tournament someday.
The Kings League featured the likes of Kaka and Neymar, and Santos players hinted that Messi could feature in the semi-finals, but that did not materialize. However, considering the future of the tournament, it is expected that Argentine players will take part.

Gerard Pique has a new proposal for Lionel Messi in the Kings League
Gerard Pique spoke out ahead of the Brazil-Chile grand final and put pressure on Neymar after being asked about Messi’s presence. “Ask Nei. He was the one who threw it, right?”
He’s the best in the history of this sport, so it would be incredible to have him with us.
The former Barcelona defender went on to say that he would like Messi to take part. “We’ll see if there’s any chance of him joining the Kings League one day. For me, that’s obviously a dream because we hope for the best and as I always say, he’s the best in the history of this sport. So it would be incredible if he could be with us.”
Pique talks about adding more star players to the Kings League
In addition to Messi, Pique also talked about the option of adding more great footballers to the Kings League. The Kings League is a very attractive event, but the presence of high-level players is the key to promotion.
“I’ve been lucky enough to play with some of the best players in the world, with all kinds of teammates. They always have a chance to play,” explained the 2010 World Cup winner with Spain. “It’s more complicated during your playing days, but once your career is over it’s a different story.”
Pique gave much credit to the host city for the success of the Nations Cup. “We knew that Brazil was a country that would work very well for the Kings. Sevens-a-side football is played a lot, and there is a lot of consumption at the level of social networks. It has a large population and is very connected. We are a product that is designed to be real football and at the same time like a video game,” said the former Barcelona player.
