Now, far from formal commitments and the demands of competition, Leo, who has been vacationing in his hometown of Rosario, Argentina since the end of December, has added another honor to his trophy case.

During their stay in their home country, “10” used their free time to reunite with family and friends, celebrate holidays, and recharge their energy.
But before returning to America and resuming his sporting calendar, the Inter Miami captain also received recognition from the city that watched him grow. As part of Rosario’s 300th anniversary celebrations, Leo received a medal from the city government along with other prominent local figures.
This was announced on the official Instagram account of the city of Rosario, announcing that Messi had been awarded the “medal that the best in the world was missing”.
“Leo is now holding his 300th birthday medal. Thank you for coming back to the city that has always loved you. Thank you for being part of Rosario’s history,” he added in the caption of the post, along with a photo of the 38-year-old captain receiving the award from members of the city’s numismatic circle.
Although this new recognition is not part of the 48 official titles he won during his sporting career, it further solidifies his status as one of the most outstanding figures in Argentine and international sport.
Messi is currently the player with the most titles in soccer history. With 35 titles with Barcelona, 3 with PSG, 4 with Inter Miami and 6 with Argentina, he has more than Dani Alves with 43 and Andres Iniesta and Marquinhos with 40.
