aGoalkeeper Lexandre Leterrier, who handed over the number 30 shirt to teammates Messi and Neymar at PSG, has revealed some very intimate details about the Brazilian striker, who currently plays for Santos.
One day I was shocked by Neymar…I saw him sitting on the toilet doing some errands, but the door was open
Neymar faces backlash after failing rainbow flick twice in viral video
“One day I was shocked. At that time we were still in the training center at Camp des Loges. I went to the toilet and I saw Neymar sitting on the toilet to relieve himself, but the door was open,” he told L’Equipe.
Abdou Diallo explained to Letellier why Neymar went to the bathroom with the door open
“I immediately went outside and saw Abdou Diallo questioning what I had just seen,” the former goalkeeper recalled.
He never locks the door and always leaves it open
Letellier told the French newspaper that Diallo explained to him that Neymar is claustrophobic and never closes the door in small spaces.
“He never locks the door. He always leaves it open,” Diallo clarified to the 34-year-old former goalkeeper, who played for Angers (2010-18), Young Boys (2018), Troyes (2018-19), Sarpsborg 08 (2019-20), Orleans (2020) and Paris Saint-Germain (2020-2024).
Alexandre Letellier, who played only two competitive games for PSG, said Neymar was the most impressive player he has ever teamed up with. “In the rondos and small-sided games, it felt like everything was going at 160 miles an hour, but with him the game slowed down. That’s why he was able to come up with gestures that others wouldn’t think of.”
