Rumors between Alexis Mac Allister and Real Madrid have gained momentum again in recent weeks, even though the Argentina midfielder played for Albiceleste at the World Cup.
However, his father and agent Carlos Mac Allister has come forward to deny any talks with Real Madrid.
Carlos Mac Allister has ruled out any possibility of negotiations between his son and Real Madrid
In a recent statement to 365Scores (via Mundo Deportivo), Carlos claimed that reports about the Argentine midfielder’s contact with Real Madrid are untrue, stressing that so far no one from Real Madrid has contacted his camp to start negotiations.
“We have not spoken to anyone associated with Real Madrid. The reports that we are in talks with Real Madrid are not true,” he said.

The 27-year-old midfielder’s representative also highlighted Alexis’ current situation with Liverpool, where he has a contract and has established himself as one of the key figures in midfield since joining the Premier League.
“Alexis still has two seasons left on his contract with Liverpool,” he added. “At the moment he will take a few days off and then go back to playing in the Premier League. That is the situation at the moment.”
The statement comes amid rumors that Real Madrid are interested in signing the Argentine midfielder to strengthen their midfield ahead of the new season. However, his father’s comments quashed those rumors and revealed that there is no contact between the parties, at least for now.
Mac Allister is under contract with Liverpool from 2023 until June 2028, and continues to be a key player for the English club, winning major titles such as the Carabao Cup in the 2023-24 season and the Premier League in the 2024-25 season. The possibility of a transfer is expected to be subject to formal negotiations, but sources close to him say such negotiations have not yet taken place.
The situation is clear for now. There are no negotiations with Real Madrid and the player remains focused on his current situation with Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Carlos Mac Allister’s comments come in the wake of the recent World Cup, where Alexis and Argentina lost 1-0 to Spain after extra time thanks to Ferran Torres’ goal in the 106th minute, ending up as runners-up.
Mac Allister started seven of the eight matches and finished the tournament with a goal against Switzerland and an assist against Cape Verde.
