Approximately 26.4 million people watched the World Cup game between the United States and Bosnia and Herzegovina, making it the most-watched English-language soccer telecast in the country’s history, Fox announced Monday.
The game also set a Spanish-language record for the most-watched U.S. soccer game, with 9.8 million viewers, according to Telemundo. This was a 33% increase from the previous record set by the United States and Turkey in group play.

The show was the most-watched show on any network since the Seattle Seahawks vs. New England Patriots Super Bowl on February 8.
Game 5 of the NBA Finals, where the New York Knicks won their first championship since 1973. Average 24.5 million ABC and ESPN peaked at 33 million viewers.
Fox said viewership peaked at more than 34.8 million viewers between 9:45 p.m. and 10 p.m. ET. Kansas City, Missouri. Boston; St. Louis. San Francisco; and Austin, Texas were the top local markets.
