NYON, Switzerland (AP) — First woman to referee a men’s world cup matchStéphanie Frappard has joined the UEFA staff.
Frappert has taken up a full-time job as a UEFA referee, training match referees and assisting with their appointment to matches in European competitions. UEFA announced on Thursday that she will replace former Czech referee Dagmar Damcova.
The 42-year-old French referee is a pioneer of female match officials in men’s football.
