Rio Ferdinand has praised his former Manchester United teammate Javier Hernandez, highlighting his moves, which he says he hasn’t seen in other players he shared the dressing room with.
In a video shared on his social media, the former England defender praised Javier Hernandez, ranking him above top players such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney.

“I think his movement in the box was the best I’ve seen in my entire career from any player I played with,” the former Manchester United defender said of Chicharito, noting that he shared the pitch with superstars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie, Carlos Tevez and Dimitar Berbatov.

For Rio Ferdinand, Javier Hernandez was a defender’s nightmare. “If anyone was going to throw you around in the box with his movement and make you nervous, it was him.”
Finally, the Englishman admitted that Chicharito’s mobility was always a problem for his opponents, as he never stood still and always found a way to gain the upper hand. “I’ve never seen a player move as consistently and effectively as he did. It was crazy,” he concluded.
This is not the first time Rio Ferdinand has praised the Mexican striker. Hernandez also played alongside Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, where he was a key impact player.
For the Red Devils, Chicharito joined from Chivas in 2010 and made 157 appearances, scoring 59 goals, winning the Premier League twice and also appearing in the UEFA Champions League final.
