The stadium where the event will be held is world cup In preparation for the tournament starting next week, each match has been stripped of all traces of the usual corporate sponsorships.

Workers at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys, continued Tuesday covering the “AT&T” letters on the stadium’s façade. That work began last week.

reason? AT&T and other stadium sponsors of World Cup venues are not FIFA sponsors, which guarantees exclusive rights during the tournament, which runs through July 19.

As a result, most of the 16 host stadiums will be rebranded with generic city names. AT&T Stadium will be called Dallas Stadium.

In Seattle, a black banner was hung at Lumen Field to hide the name “Lumen.” The home of the NFL’s Seahawks is currently known as Seattle Stadium. Even the largest soccer stadium in Latin America Iconic Banorte Stadium The stadium located in Mexico was temporarily renamed Mexico City Stadium.

The exception is BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia, which is called BC Place Vancouver because it is owned by the government.

Other stadiums and their World Cup nicknames include MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, being renamed New York New Jersey Stadium, and Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California being renamed San Francisco Bay Area Stadium.

FIFA has allowed the giant Mercedes-Benz logo atop Georgia’s Atlanta Falcons Stadium to remain in place after determining that removing it could cause structural damage to the retractable roof.

However, the large round logo on the side of the building will be covered in April, and the venue will be renamed Atlanta Stadium this summer.
