Salah ends Liverpool career with tears and record-setting assist

“We spent our youth here and shared everything from start to finish,” Salah said in a post-match interview alongside Andy Robertson, who is also leaving at the end of the season. “We would never have dreamed of what we have, but we have achieved it for this club.

“We put it back where it belongs.”

And what is his message to the players who follow him?

“Look, the club is fighting for everything right now and the fans won’t accept anything less,” Salah said.

“They don’t care about the consequences. As long as you sweat and bleed, they will love you forever.”
