The FIFA World Cup is coming to Houston: What you need to know before you go

HOUSTON (AP) — Houston hosts. fifa world cup First time this summer. If you’re headed to Space City for a tournament, there are a few things you need to know about this sprawling metropolis, the fourth largest in the country.

Transportation options

We offer direct service from downtown to Stadium Park/Astrodome Station for $1.25. Trains will run every 6 to 12 minutes from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m., with increased capacity during the event.

The stadium has a retractable roof and will almost certainly be closed during all matches due to high temperatures. If the roof is closed, the venue may get cold, so if you are sensitive to cold, please bring a thin jacket or cardigan. ___
