NAPLES, Italy (AP) – Jonathan Lowe’s stoppage-time goal helped Bologna beat Napoli 3-2 in a heated Serie A match on Monday.
The result was Napoli’s second home defeat of the season, but Bologna moved into eighth place, ahead of Udinese and Lazio, with two matches remaining.
Federico Bernardeschi rifled a shot into the roof of the net after nine minutes to put Bologna ahead 1-0, and Riccardo Orsolini added a second goal from the penalty spot 11 minutes before the break.
Giovanni Di Lorenzo pulled one back for Napoli in first-half stoppage time, and Alison Santos leveled the score early in the second half with a superb lay-off from Rasmus Heylund.
But Bologna secured victory in the 91st minute with an acrobatic goal from Lowe after Fanja Milinkovic-Savic could only parry a powerful shot from Juan Miranda.
Napoli remained in second place, two points ahead of Juventus and three points ahead of AC Milan and Roma. Inter Milan has already won the league.
