LONDON (AP) — Battle to avoid final relegation spot premier league We’re down to 2 teams.

third from the end West Ham lost 1-0 to Arsenal Sunday’s match ensured Nottingham Forest and Leeds remain in the lucrative top flight for another season. Forest have two games in hand and Leeds have three, so they are safe.

West Ham can now catch up with Tottenham in fourth-last place, who have a home game against Leeds on Monday. A win would give Tottenham a four-point lead over West Ham.

Tottenham’s remaining two games are away to Chelsea and at home to Everton. West Ham still have to play away to Newcastle and at home to Leeds.

“It’s life or death,” West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen said.

“We showed a good attitude today and we played level with the leaders of the Premier League so it doesn’t feel like we lost,” Bowen added of the loss to Arsenal, which required a last-gasp VAR call to protect their lead. “We have to keep moving forward, that’s all we can do.”

West Ham have been in the Premier League since 2012.

Wolverhampton and Burnley have already been relegated.
