Katie O’Kane scored two goals and Racing Louisville won Game 2. NWSL They ended their season with a 3-1 victory over the first-place Portland Thorns on Friday night.
Emma Sears also scored for Louisville (2-5-1), which ended its losing streak at two with the home win.
The Thorns (6-2-1) got a goal in the sixth minute from Sophia Wilson, who outscored defender Allyn Wright. Wilson has three goals in four games.
O’Kane tied it for Louisville in the 15th inning with his first goal of the season.
O’Kane scored from a direct free kick in the 76th inning, scoring his first career second goal into the top corner to put Louisville ahead.
Sears added another goal in stoppage time. She did not start against Louisville, but came on as a substitute in the 66th minute.
Banda scores his 8th goal, leading the league.
Barbra Banda scored her league-leading eighth goal of the season and the Orlando Pride defeated North Carolina Courage 1-0 at home.
Banda scored a goal that bounced off the far post in the 87th minute, ending Orlando (3-2-3)’s losing streak at two.
The game was undecided in the first half due to pouring rain. The weather improved in the second half as the Pride increased the pressure.
In the 61st minute, Marta received a pass from Banda, but Courage goalkeeper Kylen Sheridan put out a hand and parried it wide.
Courage (2-4-2) is winless for the third year in a row.
