MADRID (AP) – Zaragoza’s Argentine goalkeeper Esteban Andrada has been suspended for 12 games for the following reasons: hit someone At the second division soccer match that will be held in Spain this weekend.
Andrada was also given a red card for the punch and was suspended for another match.
Near the end of the match, Andrada pushed Huesca defender Jorge Pulido to the ground as he approached the Argentina goalkeeper. After the referee gave Andrada a second yellow card for shoving him, the goalkeeper chased Pulido and hit Andrada in the face with a hard right punch.
Pulido fell to the ground and a scuffle broke out between players and staff from both teams. Mr. Andrada later apologized for his actions.
Huesca goalkeeper Dani Jimenez was also sent off for punching Andrada during the scuffle. Jimenez was suspended for four games for the punch.
Suspensions can be appealed.
Rajo player suspended
Rayo Vallecano player Isi Parason has been suspended for seven games after making a harsh complaint against the referee during his team’s 3-3 draw with Real Sociedad on Sunday.
He had already been substituted and was sent off for complaining from the bench in the final minutes.
After a video review, Rayo’s goal was disallowed and Sociedad were awarded a penalty due to an accident early in the build-up.
